HISTORY: Architect Jan Josef Wirch originally built Pachtuv Palace in 1765 for the Pachta family. The Palace was and still is considered ''the most fabulous Baroque residence in Prague''. In the early 19th century, a classical style rooming house was built adjacent to the palace on the river, which was in turn annexed to Pachtuv Palace.
